EGDS is a high-performance Opacifying Agent and pearlizing wax used extensively in the personal care industry. It provides a luxurious pearlescent appearance and creamy consistency to liquid soaps and shampoos.

This Cosmetic Grade ester is highly valued for its ability to stabilize emulsions and enhance the sensory profile of surfactants. It features low residual acidity and consistent melting behavior for predictable formulation results.

As a non-ionic surfactant, EGDS improves the viscosity of aqueous systems while providing mild conditioning benefits. It is a cost-effective solution for transforming clear formulations into premium, opaque finished products.

Ethylene Glycol Distearate
  • Shampoo & Body Wash: Primary pearlizing agent that provides a brilliant “silky” visual effect and improves texture.
  • Conditioners: Acts as a secondary emulsifier and thickening agent to enhance product richness and application.
  • Liquid Soaps: Used to opacify formulations and provide a moisturizing feel to the skin during use.

Generally recognized as Safe and Non-Irritating. Standard handling with Safety Glasses and Gloves is recommended to maintain hygiene.

Packed in 25 kg Paper Bags or Flake form in standard industrial containers.
