TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Hexylene Glycol is a Technical Grade and Cosmetic Grade oxygenated solvent with both hydrophilic and lipophilic properties. It acts as an exceptional coupling agent and viscosity modifier in aqueous systems.
This clear liquid is characterized by its low volatility and high solvency for a variety of resins and oils. It improves the freeze-thaw stability of formulations and enhances the skin-feel of cosmetic products.
As a multifunctional glycol, it is used in hydraulic fluids and as a coalescing agent in water-borne paints. It provides superior wetting and helps prevent the drying out of finished products during storage.
APPLICATIONS
- Cosmetics & Toiletries: Used as a humectant and solvent in makeup, cleansers, and hair dyes to improve texture and stability.
- Coatings & Inks: Acts as a slow-evaporating solvent and coalescing aid to improve film formation and flow.
- Hydraulic Fluids: Functions as a component in specialized lubricants and brake fluids to maintain viscosity across temperatures.

Classified as Skin Irritant and Eye Irritant. Use Standard Safety Glasses and Nitrile Gloves; ensure proper ventilation to avoid vapor inhalation.
