Ammonium Bicarbonate
Ammonium bicarbonate (NH₄HCO₃) is a white crystalline solid that decomposes upon heating to ammonia, carbon dioxide, and water. It offers a readily available source of nitrogen and carbon and is valued for its controlled release of gas in thermal processes.

Used as a leavening and foaming agent in bakery and polymer foaming, as a blowing agent for plastics, and as a nitrogen donor in fertilizers and analytical laboratories. It also acts as a pH buffer and mild alkali in specialty formulations.
Releases ammonia when exposed to heat or acids; ensures good ventilation during handling. Avoid sealed containers at elevated temperature and contact with strong oxidizers. Mildly irritating to eyes and respiratory passages.
Delivered in 25 kg PE-lined kraft bags or bulk sacks. Store in a cool, dry, and ventilated warehouse below 30 °C to prevent decomposition and caking.
