Potassium Bromide

Widely used in pharmaceuticals as a sedative and anticonvulsant component in veterinary formulations. In analytical laboratories, it is essential for infrared spectroscopy, forming transparent KBr pellets for sample analysis. Industrially, it’s applied in photography, heat treatment salts, and as a corrosion inhibitor in metal processing.

Non-flammable but harmful in excessive ingestion. Inhalation of dust should be avoided. Use PPE in laboratory settings.

Supplied in 25 kg plastic-lined paper bags or 50 kg fiber drums. Store cool, dry, and sealed away from acids or oxidizers to prevent decomposition.
