Red Beet pigment, primarily betanin, is a natural anthocyano-like extract from Beta vulgaris roots, red-purple powder or liquid highly water-soluble, stable at pH 3-7 but heat-sensitive, providing E162 colorant with beet-derived antioxidants per EFSA food additive specs.

Colors yogurts and ice creams naturally; in beverage mixes for pink hues; in pharma tablets for visual appeal; in cosmetics for lip tints; and in confectionery gels for clean-label products in global exports.

GRAS but may cause beeturia or allergies; nitrate content concerns for infants. Staining potential requires containment; use color-fast PPE and rinse equipment promptly post-use.

Bottled in 5 kg dark plastic jerrycans with pour spouts. Refrigerate in colorant-dedicated chillers to extend hue stability.
