Menaquinone-4 (MK-4), a form of vitamin K2, is a yellow powder with formula C31H40O2 and molecular weight 444.65 g/mol. Melting point 35°C, soluble in fats, insoluble in water; produced synthetically or from animal sources; cofactor for protein carboxylation in bone and vascular health.
