Adipic Acid Dihydrazide (ADH)
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Adipic Acid Dihydrazide (ADH) is a high-efficiency Crystalline Grade cross-linking agent specifically designed for water-based acrylic emulsions. Boasting 99% min purity, ADH serves as the essential curing partner for carbonyl-functional monomers like DAAM.
This white crystalline powder enables the development of “one-pack” self-crosslinking systems that cure at ambient temperatures upon evaporation of water. It is highly valued for producing coatings with superior weatherability and chemical resistance.
Beyond coatings, ADH acts as a powerful formaldehyde scavenger in resin applications and as a hardener for specialized epoxy systems. Its low toxicity and high reactivity make it a preferred choice for sustainable industrial formulations.
APPLICATIONS
- Coating Crosslinker: Combined with DAAM for high-performance, room-temperature curing architectural paints.
- Resin Hardener: Used as a latent curing agent in epoxy powder coatings and high-solids adhesives.
- Chemical Intermediate: Employed in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and specialized photographic chemicals.
