Applied in the manufacture of catalysts, ceramics, corrosion inhibitors, and specialty coatings. In textile dyeing, it acts as a mordant to improve color fixation. Laboratory-grade material is also employed in analytical reagents and synthesis of alumina powders.

An oxidizer that may intensify combustion in contact with organic matter. Irritating to eyes and skin; use chemical-resistant gloves, goggles, and avoid contact with combustibles.

Supplied in HDPE-lined drums or bags. Store in a cool, dry area away from reducing agents and flammable materials, ensuring moisture protection.
