Antimony trioxide (Sb₂O₃) is a fine white crystalline powder primarily used as a flame-retardant synergist. It functions as a key additive in polymeric systems requiring enhanced fire resistance and thermal stability.

Antimony Trioxide

Employed with halogenated compounds in plastics, rubber, and textiles to reduce flammability. It is also used as an opacifier in ceramics and glass, a catalyst in PET production, and an additive in pigments.

Inhalation of dust may cause irritation and chronic exposure effects; process enclosures and local exhaust are essential. Avoid generation of airborne dust and contact with acids that may produce toxic fumes.

Supplied in 25 kg multiwall bags or FIBCs with moisture barriers. Store sealed in a dry, ventilated environment away from heat and incompatible substances.
