TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Bentonite is a naturally occurring Industrial Grade clay mineral composed primarily of montmorillonite. It is characterized by its high swelling capacity and exceptional colloidal properties when dispersed in water.
The material serves as a high-performance viscosifier in drilling fluids, effectively suspending cuttings and sealing borehole walls. It is a vital binder in foundry sands and iron ore pelletizing processes.
This fine powder also functions as an effective adsorbent for water purification and beverage clarification. Its cation exchange capacity makes it useful for soil stabilization and environmental remediation projects.
APPLICATIONS
- Drilling Muds: Provides rheological control and lubrication for oil and gas exploration and water well drilling.
- Civil Engineering: Used for diaphragm walls, tunneling, and as a low-permeability liner for landfill cappings
- Foundry Binder: Binds silica sand in the production of molds for iron, steel, and non-ferrous castings.
