Benzotriazole (C₆H₅N₃) is a heterocyclic corrosion inhibitor and UV stabilizer known for forming protective films on metal surfaces. It is compatible with copper, aluminum, and multimetal systems.
Benzotriazole
Used in metalworking fluids, antifreeze, lubricants, and coatings. In plastics and polymers, it acts as a UV absorber to prevent degradation.
Stable and low in volatility; may cause mild irritation to eyes or skin. Avoid dust inhalation and contact with strong oxidizers.
