Used in paints, coatings, inks, and cosmetics as a solvent or viscosity reducer. In pharmaceuticals, it acts as a bacteriostatic preservative in parenteral solutions. Also applied in epoxy hardeners and fragrance manufacturing.

Low acute toxicity but may cause mild irritation. Avoid heating above 90 °C in confined spaces. Use gloves and safety goggles during handling.

Supplied in 200 kg drums or IBC tanks. Store sealed, away from strong oxidizers, in cool, ventilated storage areas.
