Copper gluconate is a light blue powder with formula Cu(C6H11O7)2 and molecular weight 453.84 g/mol. It has a density of 1.8 g/cm³, melting point >300°C (decomposes), and is soluble in water (100 g/L at 20°C), slightly soluble in ethanol. Odorless, it is the copper salt of gluconic acid, produced by reacting copper carbonate with gluconic acid, used as a copper source in nutrition.
