Cyclohexylamine (CHA) is a versatile Technical Grade primary amine utilized extensively as a corrosion inhibitor and chemical intermediate. With a 99% min purity, it provides effective pH control and metal surface protection in steam-generating systems.

This flammable, colorless-to-yellow liquid possesses a distinct fishy odor and is completely miscible with water. In boiler water treatment, it acts as a neutralizing amine, preventing carbonic acid corrosion in condensate lines.

CHA is also a vital building block in the synthesis of artificial sweeteners, rubber accelerators, and herbicides. Its high reactivity makes it indispensable for the production of various agrochemicals and industrial surfactants.

Cyclohexylamine (CHA)

Water Treatment: Functions as a volatile corrosion inhibitor in high-pressure boilers and steam condensate systems.
Agrochemical Synthesis: Used as an intermediate in the production of herbicides such as Hexazinone.
Rubber Chemicals: Employed in the manufacture of sulfenamide accelerators for the tire industry.

Classified as Flammable Liquid 3, Acute Tox 3, and Skin Corr 1B. Highly corrosive; handle with Chemical Suits, Full-Face Respirators, and Viton Gloves.
