TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Dioctyl Terephthalate (DOTP) is a high-performance Non-Phthalate Plasticizer that serves as a safer alternative to traditional ortho-phthalates. It is provided in Premium Technical Grade with a purity of 99.5% min, featuring low toxicity.
This clear, viscous liquid offers Excellent Electrical Properties and superior resistance to low temperatures. Its low volatility and high compatibility with PVC make it an ideal choice for manufacturing toys, medical devices, and food-contact packaging.
DOTP provides equivalent performance to DOP while meeting strict global regulatory standards for consumer safety. It is highly valued in the Personal Care industry as a solvent and skin-conditioning agent in specialized formulations.
APPLICATIONS
- Flexible PVC: Used in the production of children’s toys, medical tubing, and non-toxic household consumer goods.
- Food Packaging: Ideal for flexible lids, seals, and gaskets where high migration resistance and FDA compliance are required.
- Cable Insulation: Utilized in high-temperature electrical wire jackets due to its low volatility and excellent dielectric strength.
SAFETY & RISKS
Considered a low-hazard chemical but should be handled with care. Mandatory PPE includes Safety Goggles and Protective Gloves to prevent skin contact during bulk handling.
