Disodium Phosphate Dodecahydrate
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Disodium Phosphate Dodecahydrate is a highly soluble inorganic salt used extensively as a buffering agent and emulsifier. Our Food Grade crystals are manufactured to meet stringent purity standards for use in dairy and processed foods.
In water treatment, it serves as an effective corrosion inhibitor and sequestration agent for industrial boiler systems. It helps prevent mineral scale buildup and stabilizes pH levels in large-scale cooling circuits.
The Dodecahydrate form contains 12 molecules of water, making it a stable, easy-to-dissolve crystalline solid. It is also utilized in the textile industry as a dye fixative and in the pharmaceutical sector as a mild saline laxative.
APPLICATIONS
- Dairy Processing: Prevents protein coagulation in evaporated milk and acts as a melt-stabilizer in processed cheese.
- Water Conditioning: Used in boiler water treatment to control scale and inhibit corrosion in metal piping.
- Textile Dyeing: Functions as a pH buffer and weighting agent in the processing of silk and other delicate fabrics.
SAFETY & RISKS
Causes Eye Irritation. Avoid dust formation; use Gloves and Safety Goggles during charging and mixing operations.
