Distearyl Ether is a Cosmetic Grade dry emollient and skin-conditioning agent. It appears as a white, waxy solid and is used to provide a non-greasy, velvet feel to creams and lotions.

This chemical is highly stable against oxidation and features high spreadability on the skin. It acts as an effective texture modifier, reducing the tackiness often associated with heavy oil phases.

As a lipophilic ether, it is compatible with a wide range of cosmetic oils and waxes. It is particularly valued for its ability to improve the application profile of sunscreen and color cosmetic formulations.

Distearyl Ether
  • Light Face Creams: Used to create a matte finish and smooth texture in daily moisturizing lotions.
  • Sun Care: Improves the spreadability of UV filters and reduces the oily sensation of sunscreens.
  • Deodorant Sticks: Acts as a structural agent and emollient that provides a dry-touch application.

Generally Non-Hazardous. Use Standard Gloves and avoid contact with eyes; store in a cool place to maintain physical form.

Supplied in 25 kg Cartons or Fiber Drums.
