Ethylene carbonate (C₃H₄O₃) is a high-boiling, polar solvent with excellent dielectric properties. It appears as a colorless, odorless crystalline solid at room temperature.
Ethylene Carbonate
Used in lithium-ion battery electrolytes, lubricants, and polymer intermediates. Also applied in gas scrubbing and cosmetic formulations.
Low volatility but may cause mild irritation. Avoid high heat and strong oxidizers.
Supplied in 25 kg bags or 200 kg drums. Store sealed, cool, and dry, away from light.
