Kaolin is generally classified as non-toxic but generates nuisance dust which may cause respiratory irritation upon prolonged exposure to high concentrations. Workers must utilize NIOSH-approved respirators (N95) and safety goggles to prevent inhalation and eye contact. Ensure adequate ventilation and dust extraction systems are active during handling.
