N-Octyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NOP) is a specialized Surfactant Grade chemical that combines the solvency of a pyrrolidone with the wetting properties of a non-ionic surfactant. Available in 99% purity, it is exceptionally effective at lowering surface tension in aqueous systems.
This clear liquid acts as a powerful wetting agent and foam stabilizer, making it a preferred component in low-foam industrial cleaners. It possesses unique solvency for organic soils and is highly stable across a wide pH range.
In personal care, NOP is used as a skin penetration enhancer and stabilizer in various cosmetic formulations. Its dual functionality as both a solvent and a surfactant makes it a high-value additive for technical textile processing and agrochemical delivery.
APPLICATIONS
