Polyvinyl Butyral (PVB) is a high-performance Specialty Grade resin prized for its exceptional clarity, adhesion, and toughness. Available in various viscosities and high purity levels, it is the industry standard for producing safety glass interlayers.
This fine white granular powder provides a unique combination of optical transparency and impact absorption. It bonds exceptionally well to glass and metal surfaces, making it indispensable for laminated safety glass used in skyscrapers and automotive windshields.
PVB is also widely used in high-end coatings, primers, and binders due to its excellent film-forming properties and solvent solubility. It imparts superior corrosion resistance and moisture protection to industrial surfaces.
APPLICATIONS
- Laminated Glass: Primary interlayer material for automotive windshields and architectural safety glass.
