Used extensively in fertilizers, fireworks, and pyrotechnic mixtures as a strong oxidizer. In glass and ceramics, it enhances clarity and mechanical strength. In the food industry, it acts as a preservative and curing salt. Laboratory applications include use as an oxidizing reagent and heat source in pyrotechnic compositions.
Classified as an oxidizer; may intensify combustion. Avoid mixing with organic materials or strong acids. Use protective gloves and goggles during handling.
