Sodium Methoxide Solution is a powerful alkaline catalyst, typically provided as a 25-30% solution in Methanol. It is a clear, colorless to slightly yellowish liquid that serves as one of the most widely used reagents for initiating transesterification and condensation reactions.
This product is critical for the Biodiesel industry, where it functions as the most efficient catalyst for converting vegetable oils into fatty acid methyl esters. Its consistent alkalinity and ease of handling in liquid form provide superior process control compared to solid alternatives.
