Tetraisopropyl Titanate (TIPT) is a highly reactive organic titanate used primarily as a catalyst and cross-linking agent. It is a clear, pale yellow liquid that hydrolyzes rapidly upon exposure to atmospheric moisture.

In the coatings industry, it acts as a Technical Grade adhesion promoter for difficult substrates like glass and metals. It significantly improves the heat resistance and chemical durability of silicone and alkyd-based paint systems.

As a Ziegler-Natta catalyst, it is essential in the production of high-performance polymers and specialty esters. It facilitates efficient esterification and transesterification reactions, ensuring high yield and purity in chemical manufacturing.

Tetraisopropyl Titanate
  • Catalysis: Used in the manufacture of plasticizers and polyester resins to speed up reaction rates at lower temperatures.
  • Surface Modification: Applied to glass and metal surfaces to create a primer layer that enhances the bonding of topcoats.
  • Cross-linking Agent: Integrated into silicone rubber and printing ink formulations to improve mechanical strength and dry time.

Classified as a Flammable Liquid and causes Serious Eye Irritation. Moisture Sensitive; handle under dry nitrogen. Always wear Chemical Goggles and Flame-Resistant Clothing.

190 kg Steel Drums, IBC Tanks, and customized moisture-proof containers.
