TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Zinc Mercaptobenzothiazole (ZMBT) is a high-purity Technical Grade secondary accelerator valued for its versatility in both latex and dry rubber applications. Boasting 97% min purity, it provides excellent aging resistance and high modulus results.
This light-yellow powder is highly effective when used in combination with dithiocarbamates in latex dipping processes. It helps stabilize the vulcanization rate and prevents pre-cure of the latex during storage.
In industrial rubber compounding, ZMBT serves as a non-staining synergistic accelerator, improving the physical properties of natural rubber and EPDM vulcanizates. It is particularly valued for its low odor and high chemical stability in complex formulations
APPLICATIONS
- Latex Acceleration: Primarily used as a secondary accelerator in the production of medical gloves and dipped goods.
- Industrial Rubber: Employed in weatherstripping and automotive seals to enhance heat aging properties.
- Adhesives: Functions as a stabilizer and accelerator in pressure-sensitive and contact rubber adhesives.
