1,4-Butanediol (BDO) is a versatile chemical intermediate essential for the production of high-performance polyurethanes. It is a colorless, viscous liquid that provides superior flexibility and durability to finished plastic products.
As a high-purity monomer, it is a key building block for PBT (Polybutylene Terephthalate) resins used in automotive parts. Its excellent cross-linking properties make it indispensable in the manufacture of elastic fibers and synthetic leathers.
This Technical Grade diol is also used as a specialty solvent and a precursor in the pharmaceutical synthesis of various drugs. It ensures high chemical resistance and mechanical strength in a wide range of industrial polymers.
