2-Ethylhexanol
2-Ethylhexanol is a clear colourless liquid alcohol produced through controlled chemical synthesis for industrial use. It has a mild characteristic odour and offers good solvency, stability and compatibility with a wide range of chemical systems. 2-Ethylhexanol
Used primarily as a raw material in the production of plasticisers for PVC and other polymers. Applied in coatings, paints and inks as a solvent and viscosity modifier. Used in adhesives, sealants and construction chemicals. Also utilised in lubricants, surfactants, agrochemical formulations and specialty chemical synthesis where controlled alcohol functionality is required.
Irritant to skin, eyes and respiratory system. Vapours may cause discomfort in poorly ventilated areas. Use appropriate PPE and local exhaust ventilation. Avoid prolonged exposure and contact with oxidising agents.
Supplied in 170 kilogram steel drums, IBC containers or bulk tankers.
