Sodium Ferrocynide, also known as Yellow Prussiate of Soda (YPS), is a yellow crystalline salt available in Food Grade and Technical Grade. It is most recognized for its role as a highly effective anticaking agent in table salt and industrial salts.

The compound is chemically stable and possesses low toxicity, despite the presence of cyanide groups, as they are strongly bound to the iron atom. This stability makes it a safe and reliable additive for maintaining the flowability of powdered products over long storage periods.

In the industrial sector, it is used in the production of pigments and as an additive in high-performance coatings. Its high purity and consistent crystal structure ensure optimal performance in both culinary and heavy-duty manufacturing applications.

Sodium Ferrocynide

  • [Salt Processing]: Added to table salt and road de-icing salt in minute quantities to prevent clumping and moisture absorption.
  • [Pigment Production]: Serves as a key raw material for the manufacture of Prussian Blue and other specialized iron-based dyes.
  • [Mining/Metallurgy]: Utilized in the flotation process for the separation of specific minerals in mining operations.

Generally safe under standard use; however, it can release Toxic Hydrogen Cyanide if exposed to strong acids. Wear Safety Goggles, Gloves, and Dust Masks during industrial handling.

Available in 25 kg Multi-wall Paper Bags and 1000 kg Big Bags (FIBC).
