Dicyclohexylamine (DCHA) is a high-performance secondary amine that functions as a critical intermediate in the production of corrosion inhibitors and rubber accelerators. Our 99% Pure Grade ensures maximum efficiency in complex organic syntheses.

This colorless to yellowish liquid possesses a strong amine odor and acts as a powerful organic base for neutralizing acidic components. It is particularly valued for its excellent oil solubility, making it ideal for formulating lubricant additives and metalworking fluids.

DCHA is also utilized in the synthesis of Vapor Phase Inhibitors (VPI), which provide long-term protection for metal parts during storage. Its chemical structure allows for the creation of stable dicyclohexylammonium salts used in various industrial specialties.

Dicyclohexylamine
  • Rubber Vulcanization: Used as a key precursor for delayed-action accelerators to improve the processing safety of rubber compounds.
  • Corrosion Inhibition: Formulated into metalworking fluids and paper coatings to prevent oxidation in ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
  • Pesticide Intermediate: Serves as a building block in the synthesis of specific herbicides and insecticides for the agricultural sector.

Classified as Corrosive and Acute Toxic. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage; must wear protective coveralls, face shields, and butyl rubber gloves.
