Benzotriazole (CAS 95-14-7) is a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic corrosion inhibitor and UV stabilizer that forms protective films on copper, aluminum and multimetal surfaces, supplied as a yellow to beige solid in powder, granule, crystal, needle or flake form and used in metalworking fluids, antifreeze, lubricants and coatings.

Applications
Used in metalworking fluids, antifreeze, lubricants, and coatings. In plastics and polymers, it acts as a UV absorber to prevent degradation.
