Disodium Sebacate (CAS 17265-14-4) is the disodium salt of sebacic acid, supplied as a white to almost white powder to crystal, derived from castor oil, and used as a corrosion inhibitor in lubricants, an emulsifier and emollient in cosmetics, and in water treatment. Density ~1.2 g/cm³, melting point >300°C, soluble in water, used as corrosion inhibitor; obtained from castor oil.
