Vitamins Guide

A vitamin is rarely bought as "vitamin B12". It is bought as cyanocobalamin 1% trituration for a tablet, methylcobalamin for a sublingual, or hydroxocobalamin for an injectable, and the right form depends on stability, solubility, bioavailability and the regulation that applies to the finished product. This guide lists every vitamin form in the SoleChem catalog, grouped by family, with a note on where each form is normally used.

The 122 products below are supplied in bulk to supplement brands, contract manufacturers, food and beverage producers, feed and premix plants and cosmetic formulators. Grades follow USP, EP, FCC or feed specifications as applicable, and each lot ships with a certificate of analysis under our ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and GMP+ FSA systems. Many vitamins are also permitted food additives; their E-numbers are listed in the food additives guide.

Choosing a form

For dry tablets and premixes, pick the most stable salt or ester: thiamine mononitrate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, cyanocobalamin, retinyl acetate, tocopheryl acetate, calcium pantothenate. For liquids, beverages and injectables, pick the water-soluble form: thiamine hydrochloride, riboflavin 5'-phosphate sodium, sodium ascorbate. For premium supplements that claim bioavailability, the coenzyme or methylated forms (P5P, methylfolate, methylcobalamin, MK-7) carry the label claim. For cosmetics, the esters and stabilized derivatives (retinyl palmitate, panthenol, ethyl ascorbic acid, tocopheryl acetate) are used because they survive formulation and storage.

Microgram-dose vitamins (B12, biotin, D3, K2) are normally bought as triturations or beadlets on a carrier so the dose can be blended uniformly; tell us the target dose and batch size and we will quote the matching dilution.
