Vitamin B5 Dexpanthenol (D-Panthenol) (CAS 81-13-0) is the biologically active alcohol analogue of pantothenic acid, supplied as a clear, colorless to slightly yellow viscous liquid or semi-solid, and it is used in wound-healing creams, nasal sprays, eye drops, shampoos and serums. It presents as a clear, colourless to slightly yellow viscous liquid or semi-solid, density 1.2 g/cm³ at 20 °C, melting point below 25 °C, and is freely soluble in water.
