Vitamin K3 Menadione (CAS 58-27-5; EC 200-372-6) is a synthetic naphthalene-based naphthoquinone with formula C₁₁H₈O₂ and molecular weight 172.18 g/mol. It presents as bright yellow crystals with a slight odour, melting point 105–107 °C, boiling point 314 °C, density approximately 1.12 g/cm³, and is practically insoluble in water.
