DL-Carnitine is the racemic form of carnitine, a quaternary ammonium compound with formula C₇H₁₅NO₃ and molecular weight 161.2 g/mol. It is supplied as a white crystalline powder, melting at 197–198 °C with decomposition, and is freely soluble in water. CAS 406-76-8; EC 206-976-6.

As the racemate, DL-Carnitine is used where stereospecificity is not required. It serves as a synthetic intermediate, analytical reference standard, and cost-effective ingredient across pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, animal nutrition, and cosmetic manufacturing sectors.

SoleChem, an ISO 9001:2015 certified chemical supplier based in Türkiye, delivers DL-Carnitine (CAS 406-76-8) to customers in more than 40 countries.
