Aluminum nitrate nonahydrate [Al(NO₃)₃·9H₂O] is a deliquescent, water-soluble oxidizing salt that provides a controlled source of aluminum ions. It appears as colorless crystals with strong hygroscopicity and is widely used in catalysis and materials chemistry.
SoleChem, an ISO 9001:2015 certified chemical supplier based in Türkiye, delivers Aluminum Nitrate (CAS 13473-90-0) to customers in more than 40 countries.
Aluminum Nitrate
Applications
Applied in the manufacture of catalysts, ceramics, corrosion inhibitors, and specialty coatings. In textile dyeing, it acts as a mordant to improve color fixation. Laboratory-grade material is also employed in analytical reagents and synthesis of alumina powders.
Safety & Risks
An oxidizer that may intensify combustion in contact with organic matter. Irritating to eyes and skin; use chemical-resistant gloves, goggles, and avoid contact with combustibles.
Packaging
Supplied in HDPE-lined drums or bags. Store in a cool, dry area away from reducing agents and flammable materials, ensuring moisture protection.
