Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN) is a high-transparency Thermoplastic Copolymer that balances the rigidity of styrene with the chemical resistance of acrylonitrile. It is supplied in Injection Grade granules, offering a high-gloss finish and superior dimensional stability.

This material is widely recognized for its High Thermal Resistance and resistance to hydrocarbons and food oils. Its amorphous structure ensures that molded parts remain clear and rigid, making it a premium alternative to standard polystyrene.

SAN serves as a vital matrix in the production of ABS plastics and is extensively used in high-end consumer goods. Its High Tensile Strength and resistance to environmental stress cracking make it ideal for durable household and automotive components.

Styrene Acrylonitrile
  • Consumer Appliances: Used for refrigerator drawers, blender jars, and kitchenware where clarity and oil resistance are required.
  • Automotive Parts: Utilized in light covers, instrument panels, and interior trim components due to its heat stability and finish.
  • Cosmetic Packaging: Preferred material for thick-walled jars and perfume caps that require chemical resistance and a “glass-like” appearance.

Generally considered stable and non-hazardous in pellet form. During processing, Thermal Decomposition may release toxic fumes; use Local Exhaust Ventilation and Heat-Resistant Gloves.

Standard 25 kg PE bags or 1000 kg Octabins.
