Polyethylene
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Polyethylene (PE) is the most widely used Commodity Plastic in the world, available in High Density (HDPE) and Low Density (LDPE/LLDPE) grades. It is provided in Premium Industrial Grade for film blowing, extrusion, and injection molding.
HDPE offers a High Strength-to-Density Ratio and excellent chemical resistance, while LDPE provides superior flexibility and transparency. Both variants are highly resistant to moisture and impacts, serving as the backbone of the global packaging industry.
The polymer’s ease of processing and FDA Compliance make it ideal for food contact and medical applications. Its waxy surface and low friction coefficient are highly valued in the manufacturing of pipes, liners, and durable consumer goods.
APPLICATIONS
- Film & Sheet: Used for shopping bags, stretch wraps, and agricultural greenhouse films due to its toughness and clarity.
- Piping Systems: HDPE is the standard material for potable water, gas distribution, and industrial drainage pipes.
- Blow Molding: Primary choice for manufacturing bottles, fuel tanks, and large chemical containers (IBCs).
SAFETY & RISKS
Non-toxic and chemically stable. Combustible Material; avoid proximity to high-heat sources. Standard PPE including Safety Shoes and Gloves are recommended in processing facilities.
