Benzoyl Peroxide (BPO) is a powerful organic peroxide utilized primarily as a radical initiator in polymer chemistry. Our Technical Grade product is typically supplied in a wetted form (75% Purity) to ensure safe handling and transport.

In the pharmaceutical sector, it is a leading acne treatment active, recognized for its potent antibacterial and keratolytic properties. It effectively oxygenates skin pores, neutralizing P. acnes bacteria while promoting cell turnover.

For industrial applications, BPO is indispensable in the curing of polyester resins and the bleaching of edible oils. It serves as a critical cross-linking agent for specialized rubber compounds and thermosetting plastics.

Benzoyl Peroxide
  • Polymerization Initiator: Essential for the synthesis of polystyrene, acrylic resins, and unsaturated polyester coatings.
  • Pharmaceutical Active: Used in gels and washes as a primary treatment for acne and dermatological conditions.
  • Industrial Bleaching: Utilized in the food industry for whitening flour and in the chemical industry for decolorizing oils.
