Ethylhexylglycerin is a multifunctional cosmetic additive widely used as a preservative booster, emollient, and skin-conditioning agent. This High Purity liquid is an effective alternative to traditional parabens, enhancing the efficacy of broad-spectrum antimicrobial agents.

It works by reducing the surface tension of microbial cell walls, thereby potentiating preservatives like phenoxyethanol in skincare formulations. Its deodorizing properties make it a staple in hygiene products, as it inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria.

As a Technical Grade humectant, it improves the tactile feel of cosmetic products, reducing the tackiness often associated with glycerin. It is colorless and nearly odorless, ensuring it does not interfere with the aesthetic goals of premium beauty brands.

Ethylhexylglycerin
  • Preservative Systems: Acts as a synergistic booster in paraben-free formulations, allowing for lower concentrations of traditional preservatives.
  • Skin Care: Incorporated into lotions and creams as an emollient to provide a smooth skin feel and improve moisture retention.
  • Deodorants: Used as an active anti-microbial agent to target bacteria responsible for body odor without disrupting the skin’s natural flora.

Classified as an Eye Damaging agent (Category 1) in pure form. Proper handling requires Safety Goggles and Protective Gloves; ensure safety showers are available during industrial batch mixing.

Available in 25 kg Plastic Drums, 200 kg Steel Drums, and 1000 kg IBC containers.
