Barium carbonate (BaCO₃) is a white powder used as a flux, chemical intermediate, and pigment component. It is insoluble in water but reactive in acidic environments.
Barium Carbonate
Applied in glass and ceramic manufacturing, glazes, brick production, and ferrite magnet synthesis. It also neutralizes sulfate impurities in chloride solutions.
Toxic if ingested or inhaled; handle with gloves and avoid dust formation. Keep away from acids.
Supplied in 25–50 kg multiwall bags or FIBCs. Store in cool, dry, ventilated locations.
