Strontium Carbonate (CAS 1633-05-2) is an inorganic strontium salt produced from celestite ore that appears as a milky white, free-flowing, odorless and non-hygroscopic powder, and is used in phosphors, cathode ray tube glass, ceramic flux, pyrotechnic red colorants, metallurgy and electronics. It has a density of 3.7 g/cm³, melting point 1494°C (decomposes), and is sparingly soluble in water (0.011 g/L) but soluble in acids.

Applications
Used in glass for cathode ray tubes, colorants in fireworks, phosphors, ceramics as flux, and in pyrotechnics for red flames; also in metallurgy and electronics.
Safety & Risks
Low toxicity but dust irritates eyes and respiratory tract; ingestion may cause gastrointestinal issues. Nonflammable; avoid strong acids which release CO2. Use PPE and ventilation.
Packaging
In 25kg bags or fiber drums; store in cool, dry areas; offer rinsed containers for recycling or incinerate with flue gas scrubbing.
