Sodium Benzoate
Sodium benzoate is benzoic acid’s sodium salt, white odorless granules soluble in water, an effective preservative against fungi in acidic conditions below pH 4.5. Synthesized from toluene oxidation, it meets purity specs from Brenntag preservatives and EFSA additive approvals.

Forms benzene with ascorbic acid under heat; allergic reactions in sulfite-sensitive. Regulated ADI; avoid heated storage; use ventilation for dust per Sigma-Aldrich hazard data.
Supplied in 25 kg polyethylene-lined fiber drums with secure lids. Keep in benzoate light-shielded warehouses to maintain efficacy.
