Tetrakis Ammonium Bromide
Used as phase-transfer catalyst in organic synthesis; ion-pair agent in chromatography; modifier for bentonite; suitable for ion pair chromatography (LiChropur); in conditioners, antistatic agents, detergent sanitizers, softeners for textiles/paper, antimicrobials, disinfectants, slimicidal/emulsifying agents, pigment dispersers; in oil recovery processes.
Irritant to skin/eyes/respiratory; harmful if swallowed/inhaled/absorbed through skin; combustible, avoid oxidizers; may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. Low toxicity but handled with PPE, ventilate; stable but combustible; no specific hazard class listed, but follow quaternary ammonium safety protocols.
Available in 100g or 500g glass bottles for laboratory applications, or 25kg fiber drums with double PE bags, as listed on Sigma-Aldrich product sheets.
