Maleic anhydride is a white crystalline solid with a sharp odor, produced by oxidation of benzene or n-butane. It hydrolyzes readily in water to maleic acid.

Maleic Anhydride

Used as an intermediate in unsaturated polyester resins, coatings, lubricants, and surfactants. In agriculture, it’s employed as a plant growth regulator and corrosion inhibitor.

Corrosive and irritating to eyes and respiratory tract; handle under ventilation and avoid moisture.

Delivered in 25 kg bags or molten in ISO tank containers. Store cool, dry, and tightly sealed.
