Butyl diglycol, or diethylene glycol monobutyl ether, is a colorless liquid with formula C8H18O3 and molecular weight 162.23 g/mol. Density 0.95 g/cm³, boiling point 230°C, flash point 99°C; soluble in water, used as solvent.

Used in paints as coalescent agent; cleaners for degreasing; inks for printing; cosmetics for solubilizer; pharmaceuticals for extraction; in textiles for dyeing assistance.
Irritant to eyes/skin; harmful if swallowed causing kidney damage. Combustible; avoid oxidizers. Stable; use PPE; monitor for organ effects in exposure.
