Magnesium hydroxide is a white, odorless, and sparingly soluble inorganic compound. It neutralizes acids and decomposes at high temperatures to magnesium oxide and water.
Magnesium Hydroxide
Used in pharmaceuticals as an antacid and laxative, in environmental control as a flue gas desulfurization agent, and in flame-retardant formulations for plastics. It also serves in wastewater treatment for pH adjustment and heavy metal precipitation.
Non-toxic and stable; prolonged inhalation of dust may cause mild irritation. Avoid moisture exposure to prevent caking.
Supplied in 25 kg paper bags or 1,000 kg bulk sacks. Store in a dry, cool, and sealed environment.
