Methyl Ethyl Ketoxime (MEKO) is a high-efficiency anti-skinning agent for the paint and coatings industry. It is a clear, colorless liquid with a characteristic odor, typically offered at >99% purity.

It works by preventing the oxidative polymerization of drying oils at the surface of the liquid in the container. This Technical Grade chemical is essential for maintaining the shelf life of alkyd-based paints and varnishes.

MEKO is also used as a blocking agent for isocyanates in polyurethane coatings. Its high volatility ensures it evaporates quickly after application, allowing the coating to cure naturally.

Methyl Ethyl Ketoxime

Paint & Coatings: Prevents the formation of a “skin” on the surface of oil-based paints during storage.
Polyurethane Systems: Used to block isocyanate groups in one-component (1K) heat-cured systems.
Silicone Sealants: Acts as a cross-linking agent (oxime-cure) for RTV silicone formulations.

Classified as Carcinogenic Category 1B and Serious Eye Damage Category 1. Handle under strict exhaust ventilation using Viton gloves and full-face respirators.

190 kg steel drums or 950 kg IBC tanks.
