TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Polymaleic Acid (PMA) is a high-performance homopolymer designed for exceptional scale inhibition in aqueous systems. Our Technical Grade aqueous solution is highly effective at preventing calcium carbonate precipitation in high-temperature environments.
The product offers superior threshold inhibition properties, maintaining its efficacy even in high-alkalinity and high-hardness water. It functions through crystal lattice distortion, preventing scale from adhering to heat exchange surfaces.
Due to its chlorine stability and low toxicity, PMA is a preferred choice for cooling towers and boiler water treatment. It is also utilized in industrial cleaning for its excellent sequestration and dispersing capabilities.
APPLICATIONS
- Desalination & Cooling Systems: Prevents scale formation in multistage flash (MSF) distillation and recirculating cooling water.
- Oilfield Chemicals: Used as a scale inhibitor in water flooding and oil production processes to prevent pipe blockages.
- Industrial Detergents: Acts as a builder and dispersant in heavy-duty cleaning formulations to prevent mineral redeposition.
