Aminotris(methylenephosphonic acid) (C₃H₁₂NO₉P₃) is a phosphonate chelating agent known for exceptional scale inhibition and metal ion control.
Aminotris (ATMP)
Widely used in industrial water treatment, detergents, and oilfield chemicals. It prevents scale formation from calcium, barium, and iron salts and stabilizes peroxide bleach systems.
Low volatility but corrosive to metals. Avoid direct skin contact and inhalation of mist. Neutralize spills with alkali solution before disposal.
Supplied as 50% aqueous solution in 250 kg drums or IBCs. Store cool and closed, away from strong oxidizers.
